AIA Kansas

The American Institute of Architects in Kansas, is the voice of the architectural profession and a resource for its members in service to society.

2026 Excellence in Design Awards

Open: 6/1/2026 - 8/17/2026

Eligible Projects: Project is eligible if it was completed in the past five (5) years AND at least ONE of the following criteria is met:

  • At least 50% of the design has been produced by, or in collaboration with any architect or associate who is a member of AIA Kansas and can be proven if requested.

  • The project is located in Kansas

  • The firm is in Kansas (AIA non-member fee assessed if not an AIA Kansas member)

  • Students: Any project at a Kansas university is eligible
     

Eligible Submitters: Kansas licensed architects, associate architects, students at a Kansas university

The Central States Region Design Awards celebrates outstanding work in the Central States region of Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. Entries must be designed by licensed architects who are located within the Central States region, or must be projects located within the Central States region designed by licensed architects located anywhere. Highest quality design, informed by The AIA Framework for Design Excellence, progresses the profession toward a zero-carbon, healthy, just, resilient, and equitable built environment.
