AIA Kansas is partnering with the American Council of Engineering Companies of Kansas (ACEC) and Associated General Contractors of Kansas (AGC) on KAN-STRUCT, the first annual, joint industry convention in Kansas. This is a “one stop shop” of collaborative business networking, with national keynote speakers, continuing education units (CEUs) for your licensing renewals, and breakout panel discussions on critical industry issues. We encourage anyone involved in the design industry to attend on September 16-18 at Century II in Wichita, KS.

The executive directors from each organization have been discussing this collaboration conference for over 16 months. “This is going to be a one-of-a-kind event for us.  We really hope it becomes the beginning of a new era of collaboration between our organizations as we’re all focused on the design and construction industry,” said Terry Humphrey, AIA Kansas executive director.  “We encourage anyone from the industry, building owners and even business owners who are planning to build, to attend this event.”

Over the course of 2½ days, you will hear from dynamic speakers and choose from a variety of breakout sessions focused on architecture, engineering, and construction—all focused on helping attendees grow their firms. Topics will include operations, safety, legal, accounting, human resources, leadership, technology, marketing, and business development. Throughout the convention, there will be many opportunities to network.

AIA Kansas hopes KAN-STRUCT will be just the beginning of a new era of collaboration between these three organizations, benefiting all the association members, industry partners, and building owners
