This month we are partnering with the Wichita Chapter of SMPS for a an event titled Measure What Matters – Key Performance Indicators for A/E/C Business Development and Marketing. Next month we are joining forces with several area professional organizations to help host our annual Tacky Sweater Design Crawl. However, the big news to report is from last month when AIA Wichita held its annual AIA Wichita Design Awards event.
We were honored to have Craig Schultz, Principle at Laidlaw Schultz Architects serve as this year’s Jury Chair. Mr. Schultz received his Bachelor of Architecture from Kansas State University where he graduated Magna cum Laude. He went on to receive his Masters of Architecture from Yale University. He has been involved with firms in London, England, New York, Kansas City and Los Angeles.
“His emphasis on design – with a decisive eye toward context, critical though and aesthetic demands – has led to engaging solutions that continue to be inspiring, mindful and critically praised.”
This event included a lecture given by Mr. Schultz as well as his jury comments on our AIA Wichita Design Award winners. Here is the list of projects selected:
Honor Award for Best Visualization – Tanganyika Wildlife Park Children’s Zoo, SPT Architecture
